This past year Hefestus Fine Arts had the pleasure of working with artist, Janie Semple Umsted on a very unique dedication plaque for the Semple Family Museum of Native American Art, located on campus at Southeastern Oklahoma State University. Like all of Janie’s art, this dedication plaque perfectly captures the mission and inspiration behind the museum and is sure to inspire future generations.
Mr.Beebe is credited for organizing youth baseball in Corsicana in the 1950’s and remained active long after, he passed away in 1997. Lisa Perry was commissioned to sculpt a portrait of Mr.Beebe leaning on a fence as if he were watching a baseball game. The final bronze statue of Mr.Beebe has been placed at the Stuart J. Beebe Athletic Complex.
