Medal of Honor - A Life-Size Bronze Soldier by Lisa Perry

This past May Hefestus Fine Arts had the privilage of working with Lisa Perry on a memorial bronze. The final piece was installed at the Navarro Country Court House in Corsicana, TX.

This particular life-size project was of Sargent Garcia, of the Black Scarf Battalion. Sargent Garcia was awarded the Medal of Honor in 2014 for Valor in Vietnam, 1968. The surviving members of his battalion travelled long distances to honor Sargent Garcia at the unveiling of this piece.

This sculpture was created by the renowned equestrian sculptor, Lisa Perry. Lisa Perry's ability to produce exacting detail is incredible. Hefestus Fine Arts has had the privilege of working with Lisa Perry on many of her equestrian pieces for the American Quarter Horse Association (AQHA) and Texas A&M University.

This particular bronze statue not only was a portrait piece resembling Sargent Garcia, he was also decked out in army attire with a backpack, water canteen, grenades, helmet, and dog tags. To view pictures of the final piece in bronze click here.

We are honored to be able to add this soldier to the list of projects that have come through Hefestus Fine Arts. We love working with Lisa Perry and the amazing art that she creates.
